WHAT HAPPENED TO MY BINDER? I finished in the top 20 in the Popular category of all the entries. In fact, taking number of votes only, I had 16, which placed me #6 out of the 12 that won. The votes on the winning binders went like this: 1st place 17 votes
2nd place 67 votes
HM: 4, 5, 5, 7, 11, 13, 15, 23, 23, 38
Other top 20 votes: 1, 2, 12, 2, 1, 20, 1, 20, and then me at 16. Yet the majority, if not all of these non-winning binders are shown on the first page of the entries.
With my 16 votes, I was right up there in the middle of the pack.
I understand that the final judging was done by a panel. but now that the contest is over, why has my binder, high in popularity, been relegated to the back of the pack when you click on the”see entries” button. I don’t think that is fair. So the judges didn’t like my binder. Others did and I should at least get some recognition for that fact. Could I be the only binder out of the top 20 that isn’t showing up on the first page? Exactly what is your reason for burying my binder??????? How can you be so arbitrary?

Hi Maureen,
Thanks for your note. The entries page is based on Zazzle search so the binders that show on the first page of search changes rapidly (by the second sometimes!) based on many components.

Thanks for your response and the explanation. I learn something new everyday. Not too long ago, you all gave me a lesson in tagging, which was having a big effect on my product visibility.I’m sure I’ll get better at this the more I learn.

Yes, a contest where Internationals could compete as well would be very nice…maybe offering prizes that were promotion packages instead of money would be a work around for this problem with some contests.

I tried to leave a humorous reply, but th emoderators were’t agrreable to it. I can’t blame them, as I mentioned someone’s name who was not happy withthe results of the contest.
I think my binder would have won had there been a “just plain cute” category. Or a “hardly spent any time at all on it becasue it was just a fun thing to do and not worth getting stressed about” category.
All in all, it’s nice to see Zazzle having contests again. It brings the community together and gives me a chance to see the fine work everyone out there is capable of. I was so very impressed at the talent amongst the Zazzle contributors.
