Egyptian Unrest Spawns T-Shirts and More

January 31, 2011

With civil unrest comes vocal artistic expression. Right now, the riots and political climate in Egypt are creating an environment for artists around the world to show their feelings through Free Egypt t-shirts and Mubarak t-shirts. It’s amazing to see how the voices of the global population express their beliefs through Zazzle’s platform. Some examples of shirts created from the protest are below.

What do you use the Zazzle platform for? What is the political cause you’d like to see t-shirts for?

Zazzle Featured Seller Interview with LittlebeaneBoutique

January 27, 2011

Lori, from the Zazzle store littlebeaneboutique, answers some questions about her inspirations, and her time as a Zazzler. Check out the interview below and don’t forget to check out her store littlebeaneboutique!

Oh Sweet Candyland

Zazzle: First off, tell us a little bit about yourself.

Lori: I am from Cleveland, Ohio. I started Littlebeane Boutique in the spring of 2007, and it has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I have always dabbled in the arts and I have a background in Interior Design, but I am a self-taught Graphic Designer.

I love drawing and at this point in my life, I can’t imagine doing anything else!

Zazzle: What’s your inspiration for your designs?

Lori: I love to draw things based around children.  My designs are whimsical, fun, and full of color. I have an 8 year old son who is the inspiration behind everything I do. I guess you can say, I am still just a big kid

Zazzle: When you’re not creating art, what are your other hobbies?

Lori: Hmmmm, I spend most of my time creating art… it is my main hobby, but I do love history, museums, going to antique shops, going to the park, running and just spending time with my family and friends.

Zazzle: What has been your favorite design you’ve created, and why?

Lori: I actually have 2 favorite designs! My “Oh Sweet Candyland Design” just makes me smile, and I love anything with candy! The other would be my “Littlebeane Monsters”, this collection has a special place in my heart – these were created by my son Jack who’s had dreams of these little guys when he was 6 years old. He made up their names and I just drew what he described to me, so it was a special collaboration with him!!

Zazzle: What’s your favorite Zazzle product to create?

Lori: That’s a tough one! I love to design the invitations, but the binders are my favorite. They are such a unique item; I mean how cool is it to have a customized binder! There are so many uses for them. I have bought many of these to give as gifts and everyone goes crazy over them!

Zazzle: What got you interested in selling your art on Zazzle?

Lori: I found Zazzle through Google, and was hooked from the moment I started going through the site. I just had to have a shop on here. It was amazing that I could put my artwork on so many great products, and that customers can purchase them and customize them the way they want, it’s too cool!

Zazzle: What tips can you give someone who is just starting out on Zazzle?

Lori: Give it time! You have to nurture your shop and keep your designs pure to who you are, and people will respond to that.  Also, I would spend a lot of time learning about Zazzle. Look through the site, look at other seller’s stores, read through the forums, and just learn everything you can.  Zazzle offers amazing support and help, which will only make your store better in the end!

Thanks Lori!
