For many Star Wars fans the release of the film series on Blu-ray this Friday is causing a stir because of the special effects changes made to the films. Just like the re-release of the original films on DVD, when the scene between Han Solo and Greedo was altered to make Han shoot second, the Blue-ray “Return of the Jedi” has a new voiceover of Vader yelling “NOOOOO!!!!!” when throwing Palpatine to his death (in the original Vader said nothing). Will this be the next fan controversy that spurs shirts like the famous Han Shot First t-shirt? What do you think of the changes for Blu-ray? Still going to purchase the series anyways? Believe it or not, I still have the first Star Wars trilogy I bought a long time ago on VHS, the real versions without the CG effects, where Han does shoot first and Darth Vader says nothing

Lucas has been screwing up his films ever since the Special Editions. I refuse to buy anything else Star Wars, unless it’s a faithful (no CGI) version of the original trilogy.
