The Gold Dust Lounge, a San Francisco Landmark since 1933, will be closing its doors on March 6th…or will it? Scheduled for eviction from the Union Square area, the purveyors of this famous watering hole are fighting back with a petition, website, Facebook page, and a Zazzle Store! Like many boot-strap political movements, the Gold Dust understands the power of free technology to spread their message. Zazzle’s free store architecture and zero inventory system gives the Gold Dusters an easy way to supply patrons with campaign merchandise and take the message to the streets (and bars) of the world. Check out some of the Save the Gold Dust Lounge t-shirts below. If you’re in San Francisco, stop by the bar to wet your whistle and support the cause (if you’re over 21 that is).

I wanted to ask how to post a blog in support of one of the artists who lost everything in a house fire this week. Can we promote her store in a blog? I was told Zazzle does not have a set policy for donations in cases like this but, if the blog can promote saving a lounge, can it not promote an artist who will have to rebuild her life? I could not find a way to contact any of the blog authors, thank you.

Hi Denise, that sounds like a good blog post for sure. Can you send the details to community@zazzle.com?
