Karen, from the Zazzle store OwlsofKewzoo, talks with us about her affection to animals, love of mixed media, and her time at Zazzle. Check out the interview below and don’t forget to check out her store OwlsofKewzoo.
Zazzle: Tell us a little bit about yourself!
Karen: I am a visual artist currently based in Brisbane, Australia, but I will soon be moving to Melbourne to open a small gallery. I’m dragging my husband and pets with me.
Zazzle: What got you interested in design? Or more specifically designing owls?
Karen: I studied animation at an art college where we covered many different mediums. I just love drawing animals in general. The owls seemed to take on a life of their own so I gave them their own shop. They work well with all the different paper I discover in my travels.
Zazzle: What’s your favorite medium to use?
Karen: I am a “mixed media” artist so I like to use a lot of different things. Paper, water colour pencils, acrylic paint, ink, glue and pencil just to name a few.
Zazzle: Do you have any fun stories about being a seller on Zazzle?
Karen: It is fun meeting lots of different artists on Zazzle and, of course, making and selling your work.

Zazzle: Who is your favorite Zazzle seller (besides yourself, of course)?
Karen: Shannon Justice from HahpiStuff
Zazzle: What got you interested in selling your art on Zazzle?
Karen: I saw that some of my Facebook friends were selling work over there so I decided to give it a go.
Zazzle: What tips can you give someone who is just starting out on Zazzle?
Karen: Patience is necessary as you will not sell things overnight. It takes a long time to get somewhere and you have to work at it, your work will not sell itself.
Thanks for sharing Karen!
