Paul Ryan wasn’t a well-known politician (outside of Washington circles) until this weekend when he was thrust into the spotlight as the running mate for GOP presidential hopeful Mitt Romney. With stardom firmly achieved, it brings the age old question to light: What do people really think of Paul Ryan? Well, let’s use Zazzle’s data to try and figure that out… Below is the graph of positive Paul Ryan search terms on Zazzle soon after the announcement.

As you can see, there is an absolute EXPLOSION of people (and Zazzle Sellers) hard at work searching (and creating designs) for Mr. Ryan. Now, this doesn’t necessarily mean that most people are supporting him; it only means that there’s interest in this new political figure. To figure out the feelings of the internet/world, we need augment the above data with “anti-Paul Ryan” searches to see the below graph.

So there you have it. It seems that the fans of Paul Ryan are much more motivated right now than his detractors. Will this change? Definitely. There’s only one constant in all elections, every politician screws up and when he/she does, the Zazzle Community reacts. What do you think of the data, does it agree with your views on Paul Ryan? Seems quite natural for activity to increase now that a V.P. has actually been named. For those of us who actually follow our countries political interests daily are aware that Paul Ryan has not only been well known for quite a long time but is also highly respected by many from not only both political parties but by a great number of his constituents and other fine Americans. Some people seem to have a natural aptitude for making solid decisions both personal and in business while others clearly need a more formal training and an ongoing array of coaches. I have not yet to date seen Paul Ryan sway from his stances even from the deepest of trenches like he has faced many times with our current President and he has shown style, class and control using his natural intellect without teleprompters or division tactics in effort to solve some of the biggest issues this country has experienced in a very very very long time. I doubt to a large degree that he will suddenly shift his usual ways and start screwing up however this is only my personal opinion and I do hope it is as welcomed here as his name and identity is for selling Zazzle merchandise.

I’m a proud resident of Paul Ryan’s Congressional District and have known him and worked on his campaigns for many years. My family and I are so happy and excited that he has been chosen as the Vice Presidential candidate on the Republican ticket. On Wisconsin!!
