Sandy (ThePaperMill on Zazzle) lives on a beautiful island off the coast of Washington state. After spending years snapping pictures of the scenery, she came across Zazzle and decided to brush up on her photoshop skills. She decided to turn her love of photography and weddings into a successful venture on Zazzle.
I spent many years in risk management and insurance, and decided it was time to try out Zazzle.
I’ve found my niche with rustic themes, the outdoors and weddings. I spend a lot of time researching wedding trends, thinking how I can best create save-the-dates, invites, etc. I know how important this day is for the bride, and it’s an honor designing something that will be significant on such a special day.
Here are some of my favorites:
I try to incorporate my passion for living here into my design work. Rustic fences and tree silhouettes dot the landscape of our island everywhere you go. All of my designs are created in photoshop — allowing me to incorporate layer after layer to bring the viewer into the design.
Mixing textures like the burlap background with a minimalist design keeps this invite contemporary (but it still maintains that rustic feel).
I love to evoke memories from childhood when creating designs, and I love the fact that today’s bride feels comfortable enough to add her unique interpretation to the day.
I try to keep up with all of Zazzle’s great product offerings and try to dedicate time to creating different products. Sometimes we need to be aware of what sells in our overall marketing scheme and head in other directions to encompass other markets.
I love the idea of using candy buffets and wedding dessert bars. I try to make brides’ planning easier, while also sticking to my goal of incorporating the beauty in our everyday lives.
