New Designer Feature: Collections

by

A new Zazzle feature allows designers and associates to create curated landing pages. For example, you can now create a landing page that has related products like Holiday Cards & Stamps or Gifts & Wrapping paper, or Plates, Mugs & Placemats. You can use your own products and products from other designers.

How to build your collection link:

You will need:
1) Your associate ID
2) All the product ID’s you’d like to show in your collection (separated by commas)

Full link:

This is awesome! I’m so glad I don’t have to put collections together through my blog and can do it intuitively on Zazzle. Now hopefully the next new designer feature will be Zazzle Analytics!

I love the idea of this but currently sharing a link to my curated list on FB, Twitter or anywhere else is only sending people back to the homepage for Z. I hope it doesn’t stay this way.

  6. Michael H. Says:

It would also be cool if we could title these curated collections. I feel like that could be an easy addition, but I’m not sure. I’m not an awesome Zazzle coder.

  7. sschming Says:

On the collections pages you can’t refresh the screen (goes to the Zazzle homepage). Once you navigate to a product in the collection, there is no way to get back to the collection. It again sends you to the Zazzle homepage when you click the back button.

      Hi Sschming,

We are currently working on some fixes with the tool.

      Thank you!

BTW – the full example link in the post doesn’t appear to work; I did a quick test, though, that did work ok.

Also helpful to note where the product ID (PID) can be found:

    (1) at the end of the web address when viewing the product, if you’re at http://www.zazzle.com/add_your_name_3_color_glitter_heart_case-179369062164771746, PID = 179369062164771746.

    OR

    (2) Scroll down to the very bottom of the product page and you’ll find it under “Other Info”

    Cheers!

Hey bluedelicious – I tried it too and did not get it to work. I very carefully reviewed my code, comparing to the above and no go. Did you or someone find any missing bit that makes it not work. I really could use this feature for a nonprofit store I host which serves our two local animal organizations and I often need to ‘separate’ what I’m showing off depending on the organization. This would be perfect, but so far I can’t get it to work :-( p.s. I did know where to get the PID.

Any help would be greatly appreciated :-)

A wonderful affiliate tool indeed. Two things that should be improved/fixed maybe:
a- Once User clicks to browse anything from the collection page, the original Collection Page link just vanishes, so User can’t go back to the Collection Page anymore. The User connection to the Collection Page is gone. Maybe have a temporary floating tab displayed on User’s experience pages so that the Collection Page can be used again while browsing Zazzle.
b- If possible, a simplified Collection Page link would be preferable. The link string can be way too long to be used on some engines.

Let me know please when (a-) is fixed, the tool will be a great asset for me then.

  12. Salon of Art Says:

How do we get the link we create to not go to the ‘z’ home page. I see from above, I’m not the only one this is happening to. Will you post any updates to the tool here, so we know when to try it again? Thanks for help! Cheers!

  13. Ada B Says:

But the links go all at the zazzle.com site – That’s not so great for me… With oder domains it’s not working.
