Olympia, from the Zazzle Stores olmpal and zazzleproducts1, was kind enough to sit down and answer some questions about her experience as a Zazzler. Check out the interview below and don’t forget to check out her stores olmpal and zazzleproducts1!

Zazzle: First off, tell us a little bit about yourself.
Olympia: I live in Greece. Since my early years I have had an inclination for whatever has to do with art. Not being able to study something relevant to art, I finally became a Greek teacher. Some years ago, I took a course in drawing. Later on, I bought my first computer with drawing software. I loved it.
Zazzle: What’s your inspiration for your designs?
Olympia: Being born and raised in the country, I was always interested in nature. I liked to study things around me and I developed an interest in flowers and plants generally. So, when I started making designs my first source of ideas was the love towards flowers along with geometric designs, which I could find everywhere around me. However, I lately, started to “study” primitive and ancient art and I so much admire the things that all those ancient people created by just observing the world, that their creations became another source of inspiration for me. My designs are mostly decorative. They just exist to make the world around us more beautiful.
Zazzle: What has been your favorite design you’ve created, and why?
Olympia: My yellow flowers slip on shoe is one of my favorites. I love it because it is very versatile. I used it to make many different products such as business cards and stationery (among others). I also love my black forest mousepad because it is very pretty and delightful. I love beautiful things. I make my designs with that in my mind and I have fun making them!

Zazzle: What is your favorite Zazzle feature? How do you use it?
Olympia: I love making business cards templates. Business cards are my favorite products and I have a rich collection. When I first started making business cards I didn’t know about the template option. I made them but the customers had to customize the designs to fill in their personal details. I also like pasting text and product codes in the Basic Information section as in my Olmpal gallery.
Zazzle: Do you have any fun stories about being a seller on Zazzle?
Olympia: In the beginning, I hardly could keep myself away from my computer! I designed, uploaded and commented on other designer products, which is something I even now love to do! My daughter remarked that I had put on weight and that my butt looked bigger. I said her that my butt got flat because of the many hours I spent in front of my computer.
Zazzle: What got you interested in selling your art on Zazzle?
Olympia: At first I loved the ability to make shoes. It was love at first sight! Then just before last Christmas, I opened my second gallery and I was fascinated with all these wonderful products that Zazzle offers. Now I work more on my ZazzleProducts1 gallery, but I make shoes regularly as well.
Zazzle: What tips can you give someone who is just starting out on Zazzle?
Olympia: I would advise new Zazzlers to make quality products. They can use quick create but they should first make at least one of each product individually to see how things work and after making products using quick create to check them and delete the ones that have, let’s say, white borders or other defects.
Thanks Olympia!
