Pairing the Dreamers with the Makers: This week in #zazzlemade

By • 4 years ago with one reply

At Zazzle, we pair the Dreamers with the Makers. The result? Products that are as unique as the people who order them.

We ship thousands of these unique products on a daily basis and often think to ourselves, “I wonder where this is going?” or, “I would love to see the person’s face as they open this gift!” and even, if we’re being totally honest here, sometimes, “What on Earth? There has to be an epic story behind this one.”

All of these wonderings inspired us to start the #zazzlemade campaign and your response has been tremendous! From messenger bags in Mississippi to pillows in Peru, we’re receiving stories from all over the world and absolutely love seeing where Zazzle products find their homes. We will be selecting some of these stories to share with you on a weekly basis and hope that you enjoy them as much as we do.

The photo you submitted of the boys for #zazzlemade was adorable! Were you guys on vacation?

Yes, we were!  Since I was a little girl, I’ve gone to a family friends’ house every summer. It’s on an island in a lake in New Hampshire and it’s one of my favorite places on Earth! This particular week we had some of the “original kids,” but now with kids of their own. It is a lot of fun to share a key place from your childhood with your own children! (And we even had fun taking a million photos of the three boys trying to get just the right one. They loved their #zazzlemade shirts and kept pointing at their own and then each others!)

How did you discover Zazzle?

An artist friend told me about it. I have always been an artist and was selling items on Etsy and blogging about it all. They recommended Zazzle to me and I started MarthaHaskins on there. It’s so simple and quick!

What was one of your first Zazzle purchases?

Notecards, stamps, and big photo prints for thank you’s from our wedding!

What are your favorite Zazzle products?

So far, t-shirts and clothing items have been my favorite purchase. One year we all bought the ones I designed on Zazzle for our annual lake photo.

I have recently tried a few bags and scarves, as well (and family and friends love the stamps!).

What products do you wish that Zazzle offered?

Leggings and fabric yardage, without a doubt (especially eco-friendly). I’m a sustainable fashion designer and I’d love to make my own prints.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our blog readers?

The Zazzle tops are great for family gatherings and photos. You can design the front and back, but then each family member can chose their own style of shirt and size…which means reunion shirts that will actually be worn again. We are huge fans, as you can see! (And thank you Zazzle for your great sales, ease of use, wonderful products – even eco-friendly options, and fast shipping!)

Thank you, Alex, for taking the time to share your story with us! (and congratulations from Zazzle on the recent birth of baby Owen!)

For a chance to be featured in an upcoming blog post, email us at zazzlemade@zazzle.com and be sure to include your story and a photo (or a few)!
