Dawn Espinoza, CEO and Head Gal

Dawn for Zazzle Blog

My days start with getting my kids up, lunches made – often with a note hiding inside and then it’s a ride up to catch the bus. If I’ve not made my cup of joe yet, I’m in brew mode to get my day going.  I love my coffee and my mug from our DHG Zazzle store! I have the luxury of working at home and staying waaay too long in my PJ’s.  I’m involved with every aspect of our online business and am often looking at new ways to connect with our community of GalFriends. Finding unique ways to communicate with one another, businesses, but most importantly with friends and family, is what we’re all about. Must be why I love what I do so much and why I’m obsessed with designing and creating. Where else can you make yourself or someone else and use what you’ve made to express yourself on paper and on hundreds of unique gift items from Zazzle. We have an exciting new product coming soon that will bring live animation into the mix too!

Erica Zetterlund, Help Me Gal

I’ve been in customer service for over 20 years and with DHG since it began in 2005. I love being that person to help our customers design and create the perfect Gal. Thus the reason I am called the Help Me Gal! As with my Gal’s image, my day must begin with a cup of coffee or two or three, but have no fear – the minute I have my coffee, I am here to help you. Just send me an email any time of the day, you just might be surprised how fast I get back to you.

Esther Luc, Designer Gal

As you can see, I have a sweet tooth and a bar of good chocolate is never far from reach while I’m working! This is still my favorite job and I’m proud to be one of the original Gals behind Design-her Gals. I’ve had the pleasure of dreaming up and designing almost all that you see on the site and continue to add exciting new items to the Dressing Room each year on top of my other tasks that include, but are not limited to e-blast, site graphics, custom and PR jobs design. Being a part of the GalFriends community and being able to witness how it continues to enhance our customers’ lives brings me endless gratification.

How did you get started with Zazzle/how did you hear about us?

We wanted to expand our gift items and discovered Zazzle had all the possibilities we were looking for!  Zazzle offers such a wide variety of personalized products we knew it would be a perfect fit for our customers and that our Gals would look great on them.

How do you promote Zazzle products (linking, API, RSS feed)?

We integrate with Zazzle via the API. Our customer designs an Avatar in there likeness or someone else on our website and we have a link that takes the image directly from our site to our DHG Zazzle store.  The image appears on all of the products we offer allowing the customer to customize the design by adding any text. Creating the perfect gift or product branding item for their business or office.

What products do you promote? Which areas do you find the most success in?

We promote Zazzle gift items in our Design-her Gals’ newsletter and provide links to make the creation process quick and convenient for our customer.  We also promote Zazzle in our DHG Buzz section of our website and in our Promotion page where we list all of your current sales and promotions.  During a sale, we often add a Zazzle banner onto our home page and feature items.

We like to promote new products, but can never go wrong with focusing on our best sellers which are the mugs and luggage tags.
