We’re excited to feature several of our November Referral Contest winners, and learn a few tips from them about being successful Designers and Associates.

Please tell us a bit about yourself.

I am a whimsical and abstract artist of dogs, cats, flowers, people, scenery and more. All designs are hand drawn and then brightly colored depending on the design.

How do you promote Zazzle?

I promote Zazzle products on Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, my website, product flyers, art shows, gift shops, animal based charities and word of mouth.

Do you have any tips for Designers and Associates who are just starting out?

Since joining Zazzle in 2014, I have learned a great deal. An important tip is learning about tagging your products appropriately. Read the articles published on the Zazzle blog to learn more. Also, look at what other artists/designers are publishing and their descriptions/tags.

How do you promote Zazzle?

I promote Zazzle through my social media sites: Facebook, Instagram and YouTube

I am also a walking billboard for Zazzle because I wear many Zazzle items such as tank tops, sweatshirts, jackets, sneakers and leggings.

Do you have any tips for Designers and Associates who are just starting out?

My tips for Associates who are  just starting out are to be creative, imaginative, original and have fun with it. Keep in mind that you should create not only items that you would enjoy, but also those that others would enjoy. Everyone likes different types of products and designs. If you are flexible in your creativity and include a larger target group of people, then you can find more success with designing and promoting your products.

Tier 5 Winner: Judy from Black Dog Art

Please tell us a bit about yourself.

Black Dog Art was created by my two biggest loves–painting art and my Black Labradors. I am a fine artist, decorative painter, graphic designer and photographer .

I live in the scenic state of Vermont where I enjoy hiking with my Labradors during all seasons .

How do you promote Zazzle?

I primarily promote Zazzle on Pinterest , Instagram and Facebook . Pinterest, I believe, draws the most business for me.
